True Democracy

How United Works

Party representatives vote exactly how their district votes. Every decision is based on the verified will of the people.

Through the Vote United platform, voters can:

  • Share ideas

  • Propose/amend legislation

  • Vote on issues and bills

When it’s time to cast an official vote in Congress, United representatives follow the majority decision of their constituents — no exceptions.

Accountability

Performance is transparent, every action is public, and representatives must earn reelection every 4 years.

District-specific forums:

Engagement and voting are limited to each registered voter’s district, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and local accountability.

United Platform Proposals

Liquid Democracy

Voters have proposed a United platform addendum—the institution of a fluid voting mechanic built into the party operations (and interface).

Liquid democracy is a concept that enables citizens to choose trusted proxy-voters—hand-picked, unelected personal representative(s). Proxies can be any registered voter in the same district—friends, family, reporters… even legacy politicians. Ideally their politics align and they actively engage in party votes.

Why delegate proxy voters?

If at the close of any vote, the citizen has not personally cast a vote, it is automatically cast inline with their designated proxy.

This allows voters the voluntary option of passive democratic representation (similar to our legacy system). This is intended to maintain consistently accurate representation in lieu of consistently active engagement.

Important notes:

  • Participation in the liquid democracy option is voluntary and at-will.

  • Participation does not affect voters’ ability to directly vote in any open votes.

  • Proxy representation can be revoked or changed at any time.

  • Proxies would have proxies of their own, whose votes are weighted in the same way.

Proposal:
Validating Anonymous Votes

Voters’ input is tracked and validated via blockchain/NFT voter ID, this allows live engagement (i.e. when you don’t vote, your vote defaults to your proxy). However, voters could choose to remain publicly anonymous, partially visible or fully public.
